Ben Werdmuller is Senior Director of Technology at ProPublica. He was formerly CTO at The 19th, investor in early-stage media startups at Matter, and Founder of Elgg, one of the first open source social networking platforms. From September onwards, he will be a JSK fellow at Stanford University.
