Marko Zevnik

Managing Director at Sopotniki Institute

Marko Zevnik is the managing director of Zavod Sopotniki, a Slovenian non-profit institute for intergenerational solidarity founded in 2014. He leads work focused on free mobility services for older people, especially in rural areas, helping reduce isolation and strengthen social inclusion. Under his leadership, Sopotniki has developed a community-based model built on volunteer engagement and local partnerships, using technology-driven solutions to deliver these services more effectively. For Zevnik, technology is a tool in service of a clear social goal: dignity, participation, and stronger connections across generations.
