Tim Schoot Uiterkamp

Tim is policy advisor at the Democracy and Media Foundation, and is responsible for the organisation's research activities. His current focus is on the threat posed by Big Tech to the pluriformity and reliability of our information ecosystem. Previously, his main focus was on democratic backsliding and the effect of shrinking civic space on independent journalism. His main worry is that these two developments have increasingly become two sides of the same coin.
